Configuring VaultConnect vaults
Prerequisites:
VaultConnect installed on a stand-alone computer or a PayComplete™ machine.
Important
If you have installed VaultConnect on a stand-alone computer, you need to add the machine to Connect and start a subscription before starting to use the software.
Tip
You can configure VaultConnect to keep track of the money inside the vault or safe in one of two ways:
By denomination
By value

Start Connect on-Device Studio.
In the navigation pane, select VaultConnect.
If you want to configure a vault by denomination, select the vault.
Click New.
In the Create new denomination dialog box, do the following:
In the Type box, select coin or note.
In the Currency box, select the currency or currencies the vault can contain
In the Denomination (as fraction, e.g. cents) box, select the value of the coin or note.
Click OK.
Click Save.
If you want to configure a vault by value, select the vault.
Select the default denominations and click Remove.
Click New.
In the Create new denomination dialog box, do the following:
In the Type box, select either coin or note.
In the Currency box, select the currency the vault can contain.
In the Denomination (as fraction, e.g. cents) box, enter the smallest possible denomination, that is,
1.
Click OK.
Click Save.
In the navigation pane, select Roles.
Select the role you want to give permissions to deposit into and dispense from the vaults.
Click Edit.
In the Edit role dialog box, select the permissions you want to grant the role and click >.
If you are running VaultConnect on an RCS, leave the permissions that have already been granted the selected role.
If you are running VaultConnect on a stand-alone computer, clear all the permissions except the VaultConnect vault permissions you want to use.
If you want to print a final receipt showing all the transactions for the current user for the day, add the PRINT_FINAL permission.
If you want the role to be able to change the user password, add the CHANGE_USER_PASSWORD permission.
Click OK.
Click Save.
To change the name of the vaults, go to the navigation pane and expand Language.
Select Texts.
In the Editable box, select the language you want to use for the names.
In the Value box, search for the vault names you want to change, for example,
Vault 1.In the Editable text column, change the name, for example, to
Vault by denomination.Click Save.
The vaults are now configured.

If you don't have a touch screen and want to be able to use a mouse, you need to enable the mouse cursor:
Find the folder where you installed the software.
Open the
resources\static\ configurationfolder and find thecom.scancoin.common,display.DisplayServicefile.Open the file in a text editor and change hideMouse=true to hideMouse=
false.Save and close the file.
