Configuring the status update frequency (heartbeat)
You set the status update frequency (heartbeat) to control how often a status report is resent from a machine to, for example, Connect. The status report lets Connect know that the machine is up and running and online even if it's currently idle and not used. The default setting is 60 seconds.
Task. Configure the status update frequency (heartbeat)
Start Connect on-Device Studio.
In the navigation pane, select Connectivity.
Select Automatic provisioning (Connect) or Connect.
Enter the machine ID.
In the Heartbeat timeout box, select the time that must elapse before the status message is resent.
Select Save.
